List of books by John C. Maxwell

Our first Click Random list, so for this I will give some descriptions of the books and the author without going into too much detail about John C. Maxwell or a particular book — who knows, these might be random articles in and of themselves.

Okay, so, John C. Maxwell is a pastor, leadership coach, or what some might call a motivational speaker. He looks like your friendly, approachable boss who could blind you with his teeth, but has suspicious ties to the mafia and could leave you sleeping with the fishes in San Benito River.

Maxwell has sold over 20 million books and has appeared on the New York Times Best Seller List with his book The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Although, this listing is slightly controversial, as marketing company ResultSource fiddled the books to make it look like the book had been purchased by thousands when in reality the company just bought a bulk order. Reminds me of that episode of Archer when a dictator buys one million copies of a Cherlene album (featuring Kenny Loggins) — it’s a long story.

Maxwell claims that even if you don’t like these laws — he might not even like some of these laws — if you do not follow them, they will “mess you up”, just like disputing the law of gravity by jumping out a building. Or if Robert McNamara (United States Secretary of Defence) had only followed Maxwell’s Law of Solid Ground (i.e. having a good enough character, competence, and connection to build trust), the Vietnam War might have turned out differently.

I’m not sure how much can be said on leadership and motivation, but Maxwell claims to have written over 71 books. That’s a lot of positivity and optimism. Some of my favourite titles are Talent Is Never Enough, Winning With People, Teamwork Makes the Dream Work, and The Heart of Christmas.

Maxwell’s latest book No Limits commands you not to be an “ask hole”, or a person that asks for advice, yet does not follow it.

You should also train yourself to be more creative by tackling problems that seem impossible to solve. Well, at least Click Random is attempting this one. Am I doing it right, John?

Maybe I should read some of Maxwell’s books to become a leader of the saturated market of blogs that write about Wikipedia articles prompted by the random article button.

·        Maxwell was named leadership and management expert in the world by Inc. Magazine.

·        Maxwell is the recipient of the Mother Teresa Prize for Global Peace and Leadership from the Luminary Leadership Network. While awards named after Mother Theresa are provided by many organisations, you could put John C. Maxwell in the same boat as the Dalai-Lama.

Lord Randolph Churchill — Part 2 — A flash in the pan.

They don’t look like much, but this “fourth party” caused a bit of a stir. ( Source ) You still there? Well, if you are, you might not be after this. It’s time for politics — bear in mind that the man voted as “Greatest Briton”, Winston Churchill, was heavily influenced by his father’s politics and beliefs.
